  9. F, L - File List
  10.  
  11.    Both F and L do the same thing in ACFiles.  They list the files in the area.
  12.    What is different about ACFiles from most other File Systems is that it has
  13.    a selection bar for ANSI users to mark the files in the list for later
  14.    download.  No more writing down files to type back in later. You may select
  15.    files in multiple areas and download them all at once, or you may mark them
  16.    in one area and download just from that area
  17.  
  18.    To Tag files...use the arrow keys to move the prompt through the file names.
  19.    When you want the file you have marked, press the space bar. Presto..it is
  20.    tagged and you can move to other areas and do your downloading at the end.

  22.    Note that at the bottom of the screen you can see your limits displayed and
  23.    some statistics on the files you have marked.  This is to aid in keeping you
  24.    within your limits.

  26.    For ASCII Users, you may also tag files like above.  The difference is that
  27.    you will have to enter in the number next to the filename to tag/untag.  This
  28.    provides an easy means of file tagging for ASCII.

  30.    Note that file tagging is available even on the searches.  Up to 100 files
  31.    may be tagged total.

  40. LISTING!  This means that you can move up to a file and hit C, R, V, etc.

  45. X - View Extended Description
  46.  
  47.    If an X appears between the date and description of a file it means that 
  48.    it has an Extended Description to go along with it.  Simply hit X on that
  49.    file or use it from the menu.  The extended description will display a full
  50.    file containing extended information.

  52. C - Clear Tagged Files
  53.  
  54.    This command clears your selected files list so that you don't have to go
  55.    through the file list unmarking each and every one.  You can clear the files
  56.    just for 1 area or you may clear them for all the areas.

  58. R - Review Tagged Files
  59.  
  60.    This command displays all of the files you have tagged.  This is helpful to
  61.    know what you have marked previously.

  63. E - Edit Tagged List
  64.  
  65.    Edit tagged list means that you can edit what files you have selected.
  66.    Wildcards ARE accepted here, but are trimmed to only a certain number of
  67.    files.  This also helps ASCII users mark files and all users to weed out
  68.    files they don't really want to download if they are informed they have
  69.    exceeded their limits.

  71. V - View Archive
  72.  
  73.    This allows you to view the filenames of the archive.  It supports .ZIP,
  74.    .PAK, .ZOO, .LZH, .ARC, .ARJ, and .ZOO formats.  Simply enter in the filename
  75.    to look inside.  Upon listing the files inside the archive, ACFiles will
  76.    prompt you for a filename to view from the list it gives.  This allows you to
  77.    enter in a textfile name.  Hitting enter simply quits the View Archive
  78.    command.  With this command you can view a program's documentation before
  79.    downloading it.

  81.    Hitting space bar for ANSI users on this prompt will cycle through your
  82.    selected files.

  84. B - Build a User Packet
  85.  
  86.    This option allows the user to pull a file from ANY archive type
  87.    and place it into your own personal User Packet to download.  You
  88.    get to name your packet and archive type to use for your packet.

  90.    Wildcards are permitted so if you want to convert a file into another
  91.    format it is made easy with ACFiles.

  95. G - View .GIF Header

  97.    If the above command is not available, this one will be.  It allows you to
  98.    view .GIF headers revealing the picture's resolution characteristics.

  103. T - Type a Textfiles

  105.    This allows a user to view a text file.  Any ASCII text file is valid.

  112. P - Search by Phrase 
  113. S - Search by Filespec
  114. N - Search for New Files

  116. Those three commands allow you to search for files by a Keyword, by a filespec,
  117. or by date.  You may select [A] for All areas or [T] for just the area you are
  118. in.

  120. U - Upload a File
  121.  
  122.    This allows you to upload a file to the BBS.  You may use all protocols
  123.    available including Zmodem, Xmodem, or Ymodem.
  124.  
  125.    Please note that you can hangup after the transfer.  You can specify the
  126.    filenames and descriptions as well as personalize the file(s) before
  127.    uploading.

  129.    If you make a file "Personal" then that file will only be available to the
  130.    user you specify (and the SysOp, of course).  It's neat to ensure a user
  131.    gets your file.

  133. D - Download a File
  134.  
  135.    This allows you to download files.  You may choose to download all the files
  136.    you have marked in all the areas, download global files (enter filespecs and
  137.    ACFiles will search & d/l them), or use the old method of just plain old
  138.    entering in the filespecs themselves.  After download, a "Times Downloaded"
  139.    counter will be updated in the file listing.  This is in []'s and tells the
  140.    user how many times that file has been downloaded.

  145.    This allows you to change to a different file area.

  147. Y - Yell at SysOp
